Lekhnath (Kaski), April 10: Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has emphasized the need for solidarity and discipline in the party.
Addressing a program on ‘Election Review and the Future Path of the Congress’ organized by the Nepali Congress Gandaki Province in Pokhara today, he said we all need to work hard, keeping in mind the local and provincial elections in a year.
Stating that old political parties are in trouble due to populism and new media all over the world, he mentioned that political and economic liberalism is needed everywhere.
Similarly, Vice President Bishwaprakash Sharma said that there is no justification for going to court because the new leadership of the Congress was elected through a special general convention and stressed that the leaders should now work together to think about how to take the party forward.
General Secretary Pradeep Poudel said that the party has an opportunity to review the election results and move forward with a clear vision.
